Welcome to Insight, the Smart Search Engine developed by Hangzhou Prophetes AI Co., Ltd. ("ProphetesAI," "we," "us," or "our"). Insight is a one-stop intelligent search development platform designed to empower e-commerce independent stations ("Clients") with efficient and precise search services, ultimately reshaping global e-commerce traffic conversion efficiency.

This Privacy Policy explains how ProphetesAI collects, uses, and discloses information, particularly in the context of providing our Insight services to our Clients. It also describes the choices you have regarding your information and how to contact us.

1. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the data collected and processed by ProphetesAI in relation to:

  • Our corporate website (e.g., https://insight.prophetes.ai/).
  • The Insight platform and services we provide to our Clients.
  • Interactions with us, such as through customer support or sales inquiries.

When we provide services to our Clients, we generally act as a data processor and our Clients act as data controllers with respect to end-user data processed through Insight. Our Clients are responsible for obtaining appropriate consents and providing privacy notices to their end-users regarding the collection and use of their data. This policy primarily describes ProphetesAI's practices.

2. The Information We Collect

We collect various types of information to provide and improve our Insight services.

a. Information You Provide Directly to Us (as a ProphetesAI Client or Partner)

When you register for an Insight account, use our services, or communicate with us, you may provide us with personal information, including:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and other business contact details.
  • Account Information: Usernames, passwords, and other credentials used to access our services.
  • Billing Information: Payment details, billing address, and related financial information.
  • Communications: Any information you provide when you communicate with us for support, inquiries, or feedback.

b. Information We Collect on Behalf of Our Clients (from End-Users of Client Websites)

As a data processor, Insight collects and processes data from the end-users of our Clients' e-commerce websites. This data is collected and used to power the search and recommendation functionalities on those websites, including:

  • Search and Interaction Data: Search queries, search results viewed, clicks on search results, interaction with search guidance (dropdowns, hot words), and refinement choices.
  • Recommendation Interaction Data: Views and clicks on recommended products across various scenarios (homepage, product detail pages, cart pages, order pages, no-result pages).
  • Product Interaction Data: Product views, add-to-cart events, items added to favorites, products shared.
  • Transaction Data: Information related to orders placed and payment events.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and timestamps associated with interactions.

This data is used to enable Insight's core functionalities such as Intent Recognition (e.g., synonyms, entity recognition, category prediction), Recall (e.g., multi-way recall, personalized recall), Ranking (e.g., CTR prediction), Reranking (e.g., pinning, boosting), and Search Guidance.

c. Information from Other Sources

  • Client-Provided Data: Our Clients provide us with data about their products (e.g., product titles, descriptions, categories, brands, images, prices), user profiles, order history, and other relevant business data necessary for Insight to function.
  • Publicly Available Information: We may incorporate publicly available data or data from third-party partners (e.g., industry benchmarks, general knowledge bases) to enhance our models and services, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

a. To Provide and Improve the Insight Services

  • Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the core search and recommendation functionalities of Insight to our Clients. This includes using end-user data to perform intent recognition, multi-way recall, ranking, reranking, and search guidance, delivering personalized and relevant results.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, identify trends, and conduct research to enhance the performance, accuracy, and features of the Insight platform. This involves training and evaluating our AI models (e.g., for CTR/CVR prediction, category prediction, entity recognition) using aggregated and anonymized data where appropriate.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: To diagnose and fix problems, and to provide technical support to our Clients.
  • Personalization: To enable our Clients to offer "thousand-person-thousand-face" personalized shopping experiences to their end-users.

b. For Our Business Operations

  • Account Management: To manage your Insight account, process payments, and provide billing information.
  • Communication: To send you service-related notifications, updates, and administrative messages.
  • Marketing: To inform you about new features, products, services, and promotional offers that may be of interest to you, based on your interactions with us. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Analytics: To understand how our own website and services are used, to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and to improve our business strategies.

c. For Legal Compliance

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.
  • To enforce our terms of service and other agreements.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of ProphetesAI, our Clients, end-users, or the public.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell the personal data we collect. We may share information as follows:

a. With Our Clients

  • The end-user data processed by Insight is made available to the respective Client that controls that data. This is integral to the functioning of our service. Our Clients are responsible for their own privacy practices regarding this data.

b. With Service Providers

  • We may share information with third-party vendors, consultants, and other service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, data storage, analytics, payment processing). These service providers are contractually obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of the information and to use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.

c. For Legal Reasons

  • Data Portability: You can request a copy of the personal information you have provided to us.
  • Objection/Restriction: You may object to or request restriction of our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

b. For End-Users of Our Clients (Regarding Data Processed by Insight)

If you are an end-user of one of our Client's e-commerce websites, your data is primarily controlled by that Client.

  • To exercise your privacy rights (e.g., access, rectification, erasure, objection, data portability) regarding data processed by Insight on behalf of a Client, you should contact the Client directly. ProphetesAI will support its Clients in responding to such requests in accordance with our contractual obligations and applicable data protection laws.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect and process from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Data Transfers

ProphetesAI operates globally. Your information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or where we engage service providers. By using our services, you understand that your information may be transferred to countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws than your country. We take appropriate measures to ensure that your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
